KHQA has an opening in its Operations Department for a master control operator.  Master control operator responsibilities include monitoring on-air signal, airing programs, commercials and recording program satellite feeds.  The position requires flexibility in scheduling that could include weekends, nights, mornings, and holidays.  Related experience helpful but not necessary.  Needed skills for positions include attention to detail, promptness, willingness to learn, ability to take direction well and some technical ability including working with Windows based programs.

KHQA-Custodian
 
KHQA is hiring a Custodian - Hours are flexible and duties will include cleaning of office and public areas, floor maintenance and some light building maintenance. High school diploma or GED with 1-3 years experience in office cleaning preferred. Knowledge of cleaning methods and procedures  as well as maintenance of cleaning equipment helpful.

KTVO-TV is accepting applicants for an Interactive News Content Producer and All-Around Social Media Geek.  From Twitter to Facebook to websites, KTVO is looking for a web-savvy news hound who is both an avid Internet user as well as a total geek about social media. Impeccable writing, grammar and diction are essential, but so is knowing how to interact with our web audience in a manner that builds loyalty and grows traffic. The Interactive News Content Producer must be able to determine how to improve the KTVO's web and social media content to take advantage of reader interest. This person will work under the supervision of the Internet Managing Editor and work closely with the news department staff.
 
The job is full time with schedules that include weekend and evening work and updating the KTVO Facebook page/Twitter feed. The final candidate must have a valid driver's license, and submit to and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Weekend Sports Anchor\Multimedia Journalist
 
KTVO-TV is accepting applicants from individuals interested in this opportunity for on-air talent in this award winning news department which covers Northeast Missouri and Southeast Iowa. This individual will prepare the station’s weekend sports reports for the assigned newscasts and news updates and serve as the primary weekend sports anchor, as well as be willing to anchor other sportscasts as directed. Requirements are a four year degree in journalism or related field and on-air experience in reporting sports. Individual must have proven record of being self-directed and well organized who will generate local sports stories from local high schools, a Division Two college program, and a junior college.
