Melissa Shriver

School: Truman State University
Hometown: Ursa, Illinois

Melissa Shriver grew up carrying buckets around her family's farm near Ursa, Illinois...now she carries a camera for KHQA-TV.

Melissa started her television career at KRCG-TV 13 in Jefferson City, MO and soon after that moved back home to the Tri-States to join the KHQA team. She enjoys reporting not only because it gives her a chance to tell interesting and compelling stories for viewers, but because reporting gives her a chance to put a human face on struggles and triumphs folks in the Tri-States encounter every day.

Melissa married her high school sweetheart Adam in 2005. When she isn't toting a camera, you can probably find her spending time with her family and friends, four-wheeling or walking her dog King.

She encourages you to give her a wave or a hello if you see her out and about! She loves hearing local story ideas and loves to visit small towns, just like where she grew up.
