Tegan Orpet grew up on a farm outside of Paloma, Illinois in Adams County. She graduated from Camp Point Central High School and attended Lincoln College for two years, then transferred to Western Illinois University where she earned a bachelor's degree in broadcasting with a minor in communications.
Tegan joined the KHQA team in 2003 and is now the morning and noon weather anchor as well as a news reporter. Tegan is excited to be able to inform the Tri-States of the latest weather and news since this community is such a big part of her life. Tegan and her husband Ryan live in rural Adams County with their daughter Kaylyn. When she is not at work, Tegan enjoys spending time with her family and has a love for the outdoors and animals.
