NAUVOO BETTERMENT ASSOCIATION FINALIZES MULTIPLE PROJECTS
NAUVOO, IL – The Nauvoo Betterment Association has recently finalized multiple projects that have been substantial goals of the volunteer group for the past five years. The project began with an overhaul of the Nauvoo City Hall’s façade and grew in size to include redevelopment of the Nauvoo City Park’s playground equipment. Today, the Nauvoo City Hall’s façade is attractive, with proper signage that includes a picture of our Mulholland Street from days gone by. The façade also features a refurbished bulletin board that can be used for public announcements and upcoming events. Additionally, the Nauvoo City Park is home to new playground equipment, installed with volunteer hours and as a result of a local Eagle Scout project. The Nauvoo Betterment Association would like to thank all who helped complete these projects both in terms of labor and monetary donations. Future projects related to making Nauvoo a better place to live and work will be undertaken and the volunteer group welcomes all new faces to our meetings, which are held monthly at 7 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month at the Nauvoo Fire Protection District Office, located at 2015 Mulholland Street, Nauvoo, IL.
