The Bushnell Fire Protection has issued an open burning ban for the entire district until further notice due to the current weather conditions and the lack of rain in the extended forecast. Residents must use extreme caution when using outdoor cooking fires and not leave them unattended. They should also have an adequate water source available in the event of an accidental ignition of materials outside of the contained cooking fire. The City of Bushnell’s controlled and supervised fireworks display will still take place on July 3, 3012 at dusk; however fireworks purchased and displayed by non-state licensed individuals are included in the open burn ban and cannot be used.
