PITTSFIELD, ILL. -- A Barry woman died as a result of a two vehicle accident on IL 106 approximately two miles West of IL 106 and the US 54 junction outside Pittsfield, Illinois Monday morning.
At 7:51 a.m., the Pike County Sheriff's Department responded to the accident.
A westbound semi left the roadway on the North side and upon coming back into the roadway, came into the eastbound lane of traffic before jack-knifing. The semi truck struck an SUV being driven by Melissa D. Warning, 44, of Barry, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation by ISP and Pike County Coroner.
