FORT MADISON, IOWA -- Fort Madison's Main Street director is stepping down.
After two an a half years, Mary Ottoson said she is leaving the position.
While she told the board of directors of her departure months ago, Ottoson made the public announcement last week.
Fort Madison Main Street will accept applications for director until Dec. 7.
Ottoson said she plans to leave before the year's and, and she will have a hand in picking her replacement.
