QUINCY, ILL. -- Shottenkirk Chevrolet in Quincy is taking in new and used bikes this holiday season.

Even if your donated bike is in disrepair, the experts at Shottenkirk are ready to fix them up and get them rolling for children in the Tri-States.

They have received quite a few donations already, but they still need your help.

Tim Scharage has been out for the past couple of weeks collecting bicycles from people who have called and wanted to donate them to the cause.

Shottenkirk said they have a goal of collecting 100 bikes and getting them ready to deliver to the Salvation Army on December 19th.

"Everybody jumped on board, everyone is putting in extra hours to repair these bikes and its such a great cause for the kids. It really means something and to really have that belief in Christmas and to have that experience of opening that present," Scharge said.

Help Shottenkirk Chevy make a difference this holiday season for those in need ... stop by 24th and Locust now through December 15th and donate any bike.

The bikes will be delivered to the Salvation Army for distribution.
