HANNIBAL, MO. -- Missouri Democrats gathered for their annual iconic event.

The Missouri Democrat Days at the Hannibal Inn and Suites created an environment for the public to meet their legislators.

Missouri Secretary of State Jason Kander, Attorney General Chris Koster, and Governor Jay Nixon attended a brunch at the event. During the brunch, Nixon gave a speech about a push for Medicaid reform and expansion.

The event began Friday and concludes on Saturday. Around 800 people attended this year's Democrat Days.

This is the 42nd year of this event.
