We are a full service laminate counter top shop. We design, measure, template, fabricate and install laminate counter tops and custom laminate cabinets.
Since 2004, our company has grown from a garage operation with a single worker to a 10,000 sq. ft. shop and showroom with 3 full time employees and 2 subcontractors. Our growth is due to our dedication to offering the best products at a fair value to our customers. Our goal is to stay up with the latest trends to make sure we offer our customers more than they can find elsewhere, and at a very reasonable price.
With over 23 years of combined experience, we can assist you from the very beginning of design to ensure that a Clingingsmith counter top is a beautiful piece to complement any kitchen décor.
Mark Clingingsmith, Owner Mark has over 15 years of experience in the kitchen industry. His vast experience in kitchen design and fabrication gives him a unique view of how a simple kitchen counter top can transform a kitchen into a work of art. Tim Clingingsmith, Shop Manager Tim has nearly 10 years of experience creating beautiful kitchen countertops. Tim’s newest hobby is to design unique end tables from scrap counter tops. Tim is also certified in lead removal. Daniel Bartelt, Counter Top Specialist Daniel is the newest member of the team, with just over a year of experience learning the trade. Daniel assists with counter top fabrication as well as measurements, templates and installation. Member of the VT Pro Team Clingingsmith Counter Top Company is proud to be a VT Industries Pro Team member. VT Industries has partnered with individual laminate countertop fabricators and installers to provide the highest quality product possible paired with the best customer service in the industry. This network of professionals is known as the PRO Team. PRO Team members receive ongoing training and support from VT Industries and are very knowledgeable and experienced in both fabrication and installation of VT Industries Fine Laminate Countertops.
Question Will you come to my house and measure my kitchen for countertops? Answer Yes. We actually prefer to do the measuring ourselves. We are trained to look for unusual things – like a wall being out of square, an outlet cut-out, a hidden reason your kitchen might need a particular profile, or other design features that could impact the style of top your kitchen needs. We can also make a template of your tops to ensure a quality fit. Question Do you sell granite counter tops? Answer While most of our tops are laminate, we do offer some solid surface options. We encourage you to call us or stop by our showroom and see samples of the latest styles & patterns. Question Can I buy my tops from you and install them myself? Answer Yes you can, although we do not recommend this. Our staff is trained to look for things like out of square corners, warped or bowed walls or other hidden difficulties and can modify the tops (generally on site) to accommodate those specific issues and ensure a quality fit. Question Why should I buy laminate instead of granite or other solid surface? Answer Granite is beautiful in a kitchen, but it does come with a higher price tag and certain maintenance requirements. Laminate offers hundreds of color choices, many of which look like granite if you like that. There is even laminate that is created from an actual digital photo of granite. Laminate is more affordable, generally a third of the cost of granite or less (which gives you flexibility in keeping up with trends in changing colors and styles). Laminate is nearly maintenance free and offers many more edge profiles so you can truly customize your kitchen to your particular style.
