HIGBEE, MO. -- A Moberly woman accused of killing her newborn baby in the summer of 2011 has pleaded guilty.

Investigators tell our sister station KRCG that 26-year-old Cassidy King put the body of her dead baby boy in a duffel bag and hid it in a Higbee pond, just weeks after giving birth.

A man and his girlfriend spotted and retrieved the bag Sunday, May 8, 2011 while walking on private property in central Missouri's Randolph County. Click here to read our original story.

According to KRCG, a Randolph County judge ruled there was probable cause that a felony was committed after prosecutors produced enough evidence to send King's case to circuit court.

In October 2012, King pleaded not guilty to a second degree murder charge. King withdrew that plea and entered a guilty one Tuesday morning in court.

King also faces charges of drug trafficking from an investigation two-years-ago.
