QUINCY, ILL. -- Adams County Sheriff's deputies are searching for two men who robbed an adult store at gunpoint overnight.

Deputies were called to the Chelsea Adult Store on Highway 57 South of Quincy just before midnight for an armed robbery in progress.

A clerk says two men wearing hoodies and bandanas over their faces came into the store wielding guns and took the cash from the register.

With cash in hand they then took off running south ... throwing off clothing they were wearing along Highway 57 as they ran.

Deputies combed the area to locate the suspects, but with no luck.

The store clerk was not hurt.

If you have any information on this hold-up, call the Adams County Sheriff's Department at 277-2200.
