Business Type: Do you want an independent living home with supportive services? Then the Quincy Senior and Family Resource Center’s Supportive Living Facility (SLF) is where you need to be. The Quincy Senior and Family Resource Center’s SLF offers individuals (aged 65 and above) housing with the services they need to remain independent. The goal of the facility is to preserve each Resident’s privacy and autonomy while emphasizing health and wellness. It is also an alternative for Resident’s who might otherwise need to reside in a nursing home in order to obtain many needed services. Residents choose from three types of apartments all with private bath, kitchenette, and 24-hour emergency and security assistance in order to fit your particular lifestyle and needs. We offer three meals a day, housekeeping and laundry. We also provide medication reminders, activities, and opportunities for socialization with others in attractive state-of-the-art surroundings.

Question Who can live at the SLF? Answer Anyone 65 years of age and older who has some difficulty with activities of daily living (i.e. bathing, grooming, housework, etc.) but who can provide some care for themselves (i.e. does not need 24 hour care like that provided at a nursing home.) Question Are there any income or asset limits? Answer You must have an income of at least $637 per month to qualify to live at the SLF. There is an asset (money in a financial institution or with a broker) limit of $2,000 for a single person and $3,500 for a couple to qualify for Public Assistance. There are 6 rooms available for those who do not qualify for Public Assistance. Question Is this anything like a nursing home? Answer NO! This is your apartment - your home and we are here to support you, when you need or want us to. No one will just walk into your house without knocking. We respect your privacy and we respect you. We will provide as much or as little care and services as you want. You decide and we provide! Question What if I'm interested in living here and want further information? Answer There is an application to complete if you are seriously thinking about moving. Please complete ASAP so that your name goes on the waiting list. There is a video that you can watch that gives you more information or, please, come and take a tour of our facility. Seeing the rooms is a must! We also show you all of the other features of living here. It's a GREAT place to live! We'd love to have you as a resident!
