Viola Huskey, Administrator With 32 years of Experience in Illinois and Missouri health care, Viola is a patient advocate and wants every resident to feel at home. She is a highly educated individual who is responsible for overall policy directions. She assesses the need for services, equipment and personnel and also makes recommendations regarding the expansion or curtailment of services. Viola oversees the compliance with government agencies and regulations. Jonni Bullington, Director of Nursing With 21 years in long term care, Jonni oversees the entire nursing staff to make sure every detail is completed and your loved one’s needs are met. Jonni also values education and encourages her staff to complete continuing education so their skills are always up-to-date. Jonni enjoys meeting the residents and interacting with their families. Matt Walker, Assistant Director of Nursing Matt is a RN and also has is BSN. He specializes in geriatrics, dementia, and mental illness. He has a strong nursing background, which allows him to help train the other nursing staff. Denise Blackledge, Office Manager/Human Resource Denise has been at Sycamore for 22 years managing all of Human Recourses and making sure Medicare and Medicaid documents are filled accurately and in a timely manor. Rechell Doyle, Social Services With a BS in Psychology, Rechell is a certified life skills trainer and deals with the sociological needs of the Residents. Rechell also manages psycho-social adaptation groups.
Question Is the admissions office available 24 hours a day?
Answer Yes. We can admit residents anytime of day and at any hour. Please call (217) 222-1480 for admission inquiries. Misty would be happy to assist you!
Question Can I use your Therapy Services if I’m not a resident? (Occupational, Speech, Physical, and Diaphramy)
Answer Yes. We have individuals come the centre just for therapy. Also there are residents that are discharged and they still need additional therapy. Many times those residents come back to Sycamore Healthcare to complete their therapy because they are comfortable with the therapist and treatment they received while a resident here.
Question Do you offer Peritoneal Dialysis? Answer Yes. We are the only nursing facility in the area to offer this service. We have trained staff to assist with this process and the residents can complete their dialysis right here in their own room.
Question What if my loved one needs nursing care and doesn't have the funds to pay? Can you help? Answer We'd be happy to assist in the application process for Medicaid and review with you and your loved one all possible financial resources to assist in financial cost of care. Denise and Misty are available to address your specific financial needs and questions. Question I live out of town and need help finding a nursing home for my loved one who lives in Adams County. Can you help? Answer Yes. Our experienced staff can do a home evaluation and assist in the application and screening process to ensure proper placement of your loved one. Question Will my insurance cover my rehabilitation stay at Sycamore? Answer Insurance benefits vary. Please call Denise at 217-222-1480 and she can assist you in coordinating your specific insurance benefits. Question My loved one has very special dietary needs. Can you accomodate those needs? Answer Of course. We employ a registered dietician who oversees all menus so we can accommodate any special dietary needs.
