Chicken Coops

Put a pre-cooked sausage patty on a square of foil.

Top with a bundle of frozen hash browns formed into a “nest”

Crack an egg into the “nest”

Seal foil into a pouch & cook in coals for 30 minutes

(shredded cheese would be an excellent addition!

Orange Cinnamon Biscuits

Halve an orange & scoop out fruit, leaving skin intact

Place a cinnamon roll (from a tube) into 1 of the halves

Top with other half & wrap in foil.

Bake in hot coals for 15 minutes, turning once.

Tortilla Cheese Dogs

Grill hotdogs.

Just before they’re done, lay a tortilla on the grates and top with slice of cheese.

When cheese begins to melt, place a hotdog on each tortilla and roll up.

Grill a few more seconds to get tortilla toasty!

Walking Tacos

Cook taco meat ahead of time & reheat at campsite

Gently crush chips inside bags of individual size Doritos

Add a hearty spoon full of taco meat and toppings like chopped tomatoes, shredded cheese,

lettuce, salsa or sour cream

Eat right out of the bag!

Bobby Joe’s Bourbon BBQ Sauce

(Make ahead and put on ANY meat! Yum!)

1 gallon KC Master Piece Sauce  plain

8 cups water

2 cups apple cider vinegar

2/3 cup liquid smoke

1/6 cup celery seed

1/6 cup ground black pepper

1/6 cup kosher salt

1 tbs powdered cayenne pepper

1 cup Jim Beam Bourbon (Black Label)

Combine all ingredients except the bourbon and simmer slowly, stirring often for about 30 minutes. Remove from heat and mix in bourbon. Store in non-aluminum container refrigerated. (keeps a few months!) Use as you wish
