PIKE COUNTY, ILL. -- This holiday season, one Tri-State bed and breakfast became a holiday hot spot. Sprague's Kinderhook Lodge was established in 2001.

When Andy Sprague opened Sprague's Kinderhook Lodge, he didn't know it was going to become his life. He created the lodge on the grounds of his great-great-grandfather's farm. His goal is to give people a taste of the area through a visit.

Gene Webel decided to host his family Christmas party at the lodge. His party included around 75 people.

"It's a beautiful setting, wonderful accommodation, and the entire family is really excited about spending the Christmas here," Webel said.

Over the years, the lodge began to develop a reputation of being "rusticly elegant."

Sprague said his lodge already has most weekends in the upcoming year booked for engagements such as hunting outings, quilting retreats and vacations.

Sprague's lodge partners with IMB Outfitters and brings in a steady amount of hunters during deer hunting season in Pike County, Illinois.
