QUINCY, ILL. -- One of Quincy's own is at it again with a new CD release.
Micki Free travels the world playing music and later this month, he's been invited to play at Hyde Park in London.
It's a three day music fest that also includes performances by Sir Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, and Pearl Jam.
This is the fourth year in a row Free has been invited to play.
He says he's excited to take part in the festival, and also excited about his new CD.
KHQA asked him what listeners can expect from the CD.
"If you know me, and follow my career, all of my fans know that I'm a classic rock guy. I'm a Jimi Hendrix freak. I'm a blues, rock man. Expect a really good blues rock record," says Free.
The album comes out July 20th here in the states.
In addition to playing his music around the world, Free is the Director of Promotion and Special Events, and a worldwide ambassador for Hard Rock International and The Seminole Tribe of Florida.
