Prepping for severe weather with KHQA weather radio events

CANTON, MO. -- Will you be ready when storms threaten your neighborhood this Spring?

KHQA and County Market want your family to be safe from storms, that's why we will be at area County Market stores in the Month of March programming your Alert Works weather radios.

We are also offering our 2013 KHQA Weather Class on Tuesday, March 5th at 6 p.m. at the Quincy Kroc Center, where you can learn about weather preparedness from the experts and win prizes with your County Market Max Card.

You will be able to bring in your weather radio or purchase an Alert Works radio for $29.99 and we will be there to program it for you. Doors open for the Weather Class at 6 p.m. The event is open to the public at no charge and we will be available to program your radio for you prior to the presentation at 6:30 p.m. or following the presentation from 8 to 8:30 p.m.

Wednesday, March 6, 5-6:30 p.m. - County Market in Keokuk, Iowa
Monday, March 11, 5-6:30 p.m. - County Market at 24th St. in Quincy, Ill.
Tuesday, March 12, 5-6:30 p.m. - County Market in Palmyra, Mo.
Wednesday, March 13, 5-6:30 p.m. - County Market in Macomb, Ill.
Monday, March 18, 5-6:30 p.m. - County Market at 48th St. in Quincy, Ill.
Tuesday, March 19, 5-6:30 p.m. - County Market in Pittsfield, Ill.
Wednesday, March 20, 5-6:30 p.m. - County Market in Fort Madison, Iowa
Wednesday, March 27, 5-6:30 p.m. - County Market in Hannibal, Mo.
