All proceeds to benefit the YWCA programs for homeless women and children struggling to break the cycle of poverty; and our Young Woman of Achievement scholarship for a low-income student working to break the cycle of poverty by furthering her education.
WHAT TO EXPECT: Two Divisions: Advanced Competition (12-3 p.m.) This division will feature pre-decorated cakes in a themed competition. First, second, and third place prizes will be awarded to the top three of fifteen cakes. These cakes will be pre-sold for $50 each. To purchase a cake, contact the YWCA at 217-221-9922.
Extreme Division (1-4 p.m.) This division will feature 4 cake decorating teams to perform in an EXTREME LIVE CAKE COMPETITION. They will perform in the Fountain Court area of the Mall, and will be competing for the very coveted Cake-a-Palooza Traveling Trophy to proudly display at their business establishment. KHQA-TV will emcee the competition.

Tastes of the Tri-State This is a new event that features samples from some of the finest dessert caterers in the area! A punch card with eight tastings will be for sale for $10 and can be used to visit any of the vendors. Featured Vendors: YWCA – Gourmet Cupcakes County Market – Wedding Cake Starbucks – Coffee and Hot Cocoa Kreative Kakes – Cheesecake NuFIT For You – Dark Chocolate Brownie with raspberry drizzle Kirlins Hallmark – Fudge Kacie’s Cookies – Cookies Corrine’s Confection Perfection – Mini Gourmet Cupcakes You can visit with the businesses making this a great opportunity for those planning weddings, anniversaries, and other events and need some awesome desserts.
Children's Activities and Games Enjoy an enchanted walk with royal prizes, decorate a crown with Cinderella, and plant a magic bean with Jack!! Come dressed as your favorite prince or princess!
YWCA Raffle and Information The YWCA will have a table set up with available information to learn about our Women of Achievement Raffle. Also for sale will be raffle tickets for gift baskets. Information will be provided on our programs, and how we "Eliminate Racism and Empower Women" and how to get involved.
