Official Contest Rules

The following rules represent the material terms and conditions of the above named contest. By entering, each entrant accepts and agrees to be bound by these contest rules.

1. HOW TO ENTER OR PARTICIPATE
     a) No Purchase is necessary.
     b) This contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
     c) THIS IS AN ON-LINE ENTRY CONTEST ONLY.
     d) Log on to KHQA's Facebook app at http://www.facebook.com/khqa7news/app_206497822707564 and complete the entry form.
     e) No phone calls please.

2. ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS
     a) This contest is open to residents of the KHQA Designated Market Area (DMA) which includes parts of the counties of Henderson, Warren, Hancock, McDonough, Adams, Brown, Schuyler, Cass, Pike, Scott, Morgan and Calhoun in Illinois; parts of the counties of Schuyler, Scotland, Clark, Adair, Knox, Lewis, Macon, Shelby, Marion, Monroe, Ralls, Audrain, Pike in Missouri ; and, parts of the counties of Van Buren, Henry, Des Moines and Lee in Iowa.
     b) Entrants must be 16 years or older and (required: i.e. have a valid Drivers Licensed issued by State of residence.)
     c) Employees of Barrington Broadcasting LLC,  participating sponsor(s), their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, suppliers and their advertising and production agencies (collectively, "the Sponsor(s)")  and their immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouse) and households of each such employee are not eligible to participate or win a prize.

3. ENTRY DEADLINE DATES
     a)To be eligible, all online entries must be submitted to and received by KHQA beginning Thursday, May 30, 2013  through Friday, May 31 at 5 p.m.

4. CONTEST PRIZE DESCRIPTION(S) AND ESTIMATED VALUATION(S)
     a) Five lucky winners will receive a prize package that includes four tickets each to attend the Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam Summer Heat Event on Thursday, June 6, 2013. The prize package is valued at $56.00.
     b) The winners are solely responsible for any and all taxes, title & license fees associated with accepting the prize package.
     c) The sponsor may choose to add other prizes to be awarded as consolation prizes to finalists, at the discretion of KHQA and are yet to be determined.
     d) Sponsor(s) make no warranties and disclaim all warranties, guarantees, or representations, express or implied, concerning the condition, quality, or merchantability, or any prize.

5. SELECTION OF WINNER(S)
     a) Five finalists will be selected on Friday, May 31, 2013 just after 5 p.m. from all valid online entry forms.
     b) The five finalists will be announced online at http://www.connecttristates.com and notified by KHQA of their selection using the contact information provided by the entrant on the entry form. In order to be eligible, the finalists must call 217-222-6200 or reply to our email by Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 5 p.m. to confirm their identity and make arrangements for picking up their tickets. Must show I.D. to claim tickets.

 
6. OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS
     a) Entries must be complete and legible in order to qualify.  Entries will be void if they are in whole or in part incomplete, illegible, irregular or otherwise questionable at the discretion of the Sponsor(s).
     b) All entries become the property of the Sponsor(s), who reserve the right to use any or all information submitted by entrants for the Sponsor’s marketing or promotional purposes, unless the entrant chooses to opt out. The entries will not be sold by Sponsor(s) to any other party for any other purpose.
     c) Winner agrees to the use of his/her name and likeness, without any compensation, by sponsor(s) for publicity.  By entering this contest, the winner acknowledges that KHQA, and all other sponsor(s) and venues have the right to publicize his/her name, voice and likeness, the fact that he/she won, and all matters incidental thereto.
     d) Each winner will need to provide picture identification in order to claim their prize. Winner is solely responsible for any and all local, state and federal income taxes incurred by his/her/their participation in the contest.
     e) Winner(s) accept sole responsibility for qualifying for the prize by calling 217-222-6200 or replying to our email by Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 5 p.m. and then they will be able to make arrangements for picking up their tickets. Must show I.D. to claim tickets.
     f) By entering this contest, participants agree that Sponsor(s), their employees, and their agents have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind which result from use of the prize, or by participation in the contest.  Sponsor(s) make no warranties and disclaim all warranties, guarantees, or representations, express or implied, concerning the condition, quality, or merchantability, or any prize.  Prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.  No substitutions are permitted.  Notwithstanding the foregoing, sponsor(s) may, upon request from winner and in sponsor(s)' sole discretion, agree to substitute a different prize of equal or lesser value.
     g) In the event of a dispute, all decisions made by KHQA are final and binding.
     h) Contest Rules are subject to modification by KHQA at any time during this promotion. Station/Sponsor(s) reserve the right to change the prize if necessary.
     i) Sponsor(s) further reserves the right, in its/their sole discretion, to cancel, terminate or modify this promotion if, for any reason, the promotion is not capable of completion as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, technical corruption, force majeure or non-authorized human intervention that compromises or affects the administration, fairness, integrity, security or proper conduct of the promotion.
     j) Sponsor(s) further reserve the right to continue with the promotion and award the prize(s) even while, in its/their sole discretion, the Sponsor(s) disqualifies any entrant that, in the judgment of the Sponsor(s), has tampered with any entry, caused or contributed to causing any technical corruption in an attempt to compromise the integrity of the promotion.
     k) Odds of winning are dependant on the number of eligible entries received.
     l) This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. You are providing your information to KHQA and not to Facebook. The information you provide will only be used for contacting the winner and offering you news, weather and promotional email services with KHQA.
