The McDonough Voice reports Robert Wilson pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated battery, including the beating of a McDonough County Jail cellmate.

Sunday, August 07, 2011  The Hawk Eye reports Karen Sue Huston, 58, was sentenced Friday in Lee County District Court to 15 years in prison, the maximum for child endangerment causing serious injury. Her husband, Frederick Wayne Huston, 65, was given two years for aggravated child endangerment.

Wednesday, March 23, 2011  The Campaign for Youth Justice tracked state trends in juvenile justice from 2005 to 2010 for a new report. Illinois is praised in the report as one of three states that no longer automatically filters 17-year-olds charged with misdemeanors into the adult system. The change became effective Jan. 1, 2010. Connecticut and Mississippi also raised the age of juvenile court jurisdiction for misdemeanors.
