MONROE CITY, MO. -- UPDATED: Sunday, August 26 at 5 p.m.

Funeral visitation services for 3-year-old Madilynn St. Clair are set for 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 28 at the Yager-Kendrick Funeral Home in Monroe City.

The funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 29 at Holy Rosary Church in Monroe City.

It was a welcome home fit for a princess, a welcome home three-year-old Madilynn St. Clair and her family have been waiting for.

You may remember young Madilynn from a story we brought to you in July.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation and other community organizations built her a dream garden at her Monroe City home.

Unfortunately Madilynn hasn't returned home to see it, until Wednesday.

"It's been a long road," Kenny St. Clair, Madilynn's dad said. "We've been planning on coming home for three weeks and every time we get close to being home something would go wrong and we would end up staying longer.

Now that wait is over. Madilynn is finally home from the hospital and gets to see her new garden.

"Everybody has just wanted to do something," Donna Thompson, a St. Clair family friend said. "So this allows people to be able to give. They've been an inspiration to all of us, they really have."

"They've stood behind us 100 percent all through the three years we've been back and forth to hospitals," St. Clair said. "They helped us get to California for surgeries, when we got back they helped. It's just been a blessing you couldn't ask for a better community and support group."

Madilynn suffers from a congenital heart defect and has spent most of her life in and out of hospitals.

"Now we've finally come to the end of treatments and we're just keeping her comfortable," St. Clair said. "We're bringing her home so she can enjoy her garden."

That's exactly what this little princess, sporting pink head to toe will do, with her family and community by her side.
