LEE COUNTY, IOWA -- Lee County's elected leaders could get a big pay raise July 1.

According to Tri-State Public Radio, the Lee County Compensation Board has recommended a 5 percent across-the-board pay hike for the county's ten elected leaders ... including the board of supervisors.

The raises would also extend to departmental deputies as their salaries are based on a percentage of the salary of their elected leader.

The final decision lies with the Lee County Board of Supervisors, which must adjust and approve any pay increases.
