RUSHVILLE, ILL. -- An Illinois senator says new jobs are on their way to Rushville.

John Sullivan says the Department of Human Services Treatment and Detention Facility is about to undergo a $13 million expansion to alleviate overcrowding.

TDF is the only facility in the state that houses sexually violent persons and it's currently over capacity.

TDF was designed to house 482 detainees and is now housing 507.

The first phase of the construction project, which is set to begin in late February or early March, will add rooms for 96 residents.

The project is expected to create new construction jobs.

Capitol funding will pay for the expansion.
