The Friends of the Log Cabins and local Kiwanis were up early this morning doing some spring cleaning.
Many of the log cabins on Quincy's Quinsippi island were damaged by last summer's flooding.
But thanks to volunteers and the groups hard work many of them are in even better condition than before the floods.
John Gebhardt, with the Friends of the the Log Cabins, said some of the additions they made today were putting latches on the windows, so people can look out, and reframing the doors.
He says their main focus are the Lord's, Herleman, and Call family cabins.
He'd liked to have them clean, fixed, and ready to go by May 16th open house and the Lincoln frontier settlement on June 13th.
Volunteer will re-work the walls and the insides of the cabins.
They are also working on planting an herb garden.
