PIKE COUNTY, MO -- A judge has reduced bond and ordered a change of trial location for a Pike County Missouri murder suspect.

Douglas Howery is accused of killing his wife, Betty Ann, in 1992 and hiding her body at the couple's farm near Annada.

The investigation was put back on the front burner after human bones were found at the farm in October 2008.

Howery was arrested in May 2009.

A judge granted a request to lower Howery's bond to $300,000 from $1 million.

He also tentatively ordered Howery's trial to be moved to Audrain County.

A separate hearing on motions for suppression of evidence and statements was moved from Dec. 17 to Jan. 28.

If convicted, Howery could get the death penalty or be sentenced to life in prison.
