$35,000 to fund ongoing research of neuroblastoma
MENDON, ILL. -- David and Alicia Weiman are proud to announce that the first annual Ethan's Rodeo raised $35,000 to fund ongoing research of neuroblastoma.
The 2010 benefactor is NB Alliance, an organization that funds research projects and clinical trials for primary and relapsed neuroblastoma. Neuroblastoma is a childhood cancer responsible for 15% of all childhood cancer deaths.
Ethan's Rodeo is named in memory of Ethan Weiman, a young cowboy who fought neuroblastoma from 2007-2009.
The 2010 event was held on August 20th and 21st at the Adams County Fairgrounds in Mendon, Ill.
A unique event in this area, Ethan’s Rodeo featured rodeo events, family activities, pyrotechnics, and live music.
David and Alicia would like to thank sponsors, the local community, the Ethan’s Rodeo Committee, Outlaw Rodeo, and the rodeo contestants who helped make the rodeo a quality community event and financial success.
Major sponsors of the 2010 Ethan's Rodeo were Gully Transportation, Quincy Mack Sales and Service, Hy-Vee, Rinella Distributing, Kohl's and the Kohl's Cares for Kids Program, Dr. Maria Connoyer DMD, JM Huber, Refreshment Services Pepsi, Gardner Denver, Prairie Farms, Ursa Truck and Trailer Repair, TNT Action Sports, the STARadio Corporation and ADM.
