$35,000 to fund ongoing research of neuroblastoma

MENDON, ILL. -- David and Alicia Weiman are proud to announce that the first annual Ethan's Rodeo raised $35,000 to fund ongoing research of neuroblastoma.

The 2010 benefactor is NB Alliance, an organization that funds research projects and clinical trials for primary and relapsed neuroblastoma.  Neuroblastoma is a childhood cancer responsible for 15% of all childhood cancer deaths.

Ethan's Rodeo is named in memory of Ethan Weiman, a young cowboy who fought neuroblastoma from 2007-2009.

The 2010 event was held on August 20th and 21st at the Adams County Fairgrounds in Mendon, Ill. 

A unique event in this area, Ethan’s Rodeo featured rodeo events, family activities, pyrotechnics, and live music.

David and Alicia would like to thank sponsors, the local community, the Ethan’s Rodeo Committee, Outlaw Rodeo, and the rodeo contestants who helped make the rodeo a quality community event and financial success.
