HANNIBAL, MO. -- What is the future of sidewalks in the historical district of downtown Hannibal?

That's the question now as the city plans to send a letter to 50 property owners along Main Street.

At a meeting on Tuesday afternoon, only about 10 percent of the owners were present when the three options as to what kind of sidewalks could be installed.

City manager Jeff LaGarce says he hopes more property owners will voice their opinion as to what kind of sidewalk they would like to see in front of their business.

We're going to hear more details about the three options of sidewalks that would be available and also the timeline as to when this project might begin, so check this story later and watch KHQA's News at Five, KHQA's Evening News at 6 p.m. and KHQA's Late News at 10 p.m.
