Council also moves forward on airport plan
HANNIBAL, MO. -- Several important issues went before the Hannibal City Council Tuesday night.
As the final act of the now defunct Hannibal Fire Board, a collective bargaining agreement with the firefighters union was drafted by the board and approved by the city council.
The agreement covers a wide range of topics including allowing fire department facilities to be used for union business, allowing funeral leave for direct relatives of a spouse or a engaged fiance and bringing in a mediator to handle any disagreements between the city and the union.
The council also approved a change order with Bleigh Construction to get roadwork done for the new airport.
