FORT MADISON, IOWA -- The Fort Madison Animal Shelter needs your help to feed underprivileged pets.

According to the Daily Democrat, the shelter is starting up the PAW Community Pet Food Pantry January 17.

The hope is the pantry will help feed the animals of people already struggling to put food on the table.

Folks needing assistance have to apply for the service.

Shelter officials say your donations are needed to help stock the pantry.
