QUINCY, ILL. -- A local rescue organization is expanding its services to people going through psychological therapy.

QUEST Stables in Quincy is a place of sanctuary for abused, neglected or unwanted horses.

It's run totally by volunteer hours, donor dollars and fundraisers.  Click here to find out how you can donate or volunteer.

QUEST stands for Quincy Equestrian Services and Therapy.

It's also a place where children and adults with special needs go for a therapeutic experience on and off the saddle. Instructors at QUEST are certified by the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International

Now the center has received certification to work with people going through therapy with a licensed psychologist.

KHQA was at QUEST learning more Monday Morning. Click here to watch KHQA's Melissa Shriver mucking a stall.
