BOWLING GREEN, MO. -- A Monday morning fire in Bowling Green left two mothers and their two children homeless.

Firefighters responded to a home on West Adams Street to find flames in the living room.

No one was home at the time.

Officials are still trying to determine the cause of the blaze.

There was substantial fire damage to the living room and heat, smoke and water damage throughout the one-story frame house, which was insured.

Two Bowling Green Fire Department trucks and seven firefighters were on the scene for more than 90 minutes.
