QUINCY, ILL. -- Many Voices, One Goal is a six week study circle happening in Quincy.

Quincy Human Rights Commission and the Quincy YWCA have teamed up to bring this circle group to the community.

Since their start in 2006, more then 200 people have gone through the study circle sessions.

Some of the goals are to build trust, learn about different cultures and explore racism in your community.

There will be guided discussions with a trained facilitator about the variety of perceptions and viewpoints held on common experiences.

The sessions start the week of February 20 and run for six weeks. Each group will have 8 to 10 people with different meeting times.

For more information, you can contact Susan Goodwin at 653-8815 or email her at sgoodwin1970@gmail.com.

Also, Quincy University's Town and Gown Reading and Lecture Series presents, Critical Issues of Race in Higher Education.

It will take place February 2 at MacHugh Theatre on Quincy University Main Campus, and it will be in the form of a panel discussion.
