The Macon, Missouri woman accused of having sexual relations with a minor and family dog was arraigned in court Wednesday.

Christina Spaid will have an easier time getting out of jail after today.

Meanwhile, Macon's police chief says he's never seen a case like this in all of his years of service.

Christina Spaid kept her head down and had a slight grin on her face as she walked from the Macon County sheriff's Department to the courthouse right across the street on Wednesday. She pleaded not guilty to statutory sodomy, use of a child in a sexual performance, endangering the welfare of a child and unlawful sex with an animal.

Wednesday, a judge granted her request to lower her bond over Prosecutor Josh Meisner's objection.

Her bond is now set at $30,000. This, after Macon County Associate Circuit Judge Phillip Prewitt *increased* her bond from $9000 cash only to $150,000 cash only last December.

Macon Police Chief Steve Olinger said, "In December 2010, a female victim came to one of our officers to report she was sexually assaulted."

Chief Olinger said, "This is an investigation as a police officer you don't ever want to have to investigate."

Spaid's next court appearance is March 14th.

A warrant was issued for Spaid's husband, Billie Spaid, who also faces charges in this case.

Billie Spaid also was indicted by a federal grand jury on two felony counts of possession of child pornography.

These arrests are the culmination of nearly a year-long investigation by the Macon Police Department, the Missouri State Technical Assistance Team and the FBI.
