BOWLING GREEN, MO. -- A Missouri man died Saturday after a one-car crash in Bowling Green.

Joey Baker, 24, of St. Peters was westbound on Business 54 about 3:40 a.m. when he crossed the center line and lost control of his 1998 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, the Missouri Highway Patrol said.

His car left the roadway and down an embankment. It overturned and Baker was thrown from the car. He was pronounced dead at 4:10 a.m. by Pike County Coroner Jim Turner.

Baker was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash, MHP said.

The crash remains under investigation.
