The district put out notification to news outlets about 3:45 p.m. Friday and altered parents later in the evening.

The Quincy Police Department and school officials continue to investigate the note discovered shortly after 10 a.m. Thursday by a student.

No arrests have been made, assistant principal Richard Owsley said Monday.

The school remains under a heightened state of alert and students had their bookbags checked Monday as they returned to school from the weekend.

The district is offering a cash reward for any information that leads to a conviction of the person responsible for the threat. Anyone with information about the case can remain anonymous.
