HANNIBAL, MO. -- For everyone out there with a sweet tooth, the Hannibal Marketing Council has a solution.
The 2nd annual Chocolate Extravaganza is coming up this Saturday, March 10th from noon to 8 p.m.
Chocolate extravaganza passports are for sale at any of the more than 30 participating downtown businesses.
The $20 passport is stocked with five coupons redeemable for a variety of chocolate themed treats and even a pair of earrings from Ava Goldworks.
Coupons can be redeemed for ice cream or chocolate covered treats for kids, and adults can enjoy some pampering with a chocolate paraffin hand dip complete with a complimentary chocolate martini.
"There's just so many things to do that day. It's a wonderful time to come to Hannibal if you're not familiar with it or if you're a Hannibal resident, it's a great time to come down and see what the downtown has to offer," Dena Ellis, event coordinator, said.
The passport also contains deals and discounts for a variety of other businesses in Hannibal.
After the Extravaganza is over, there will be live entertainment and an art display.
Proceeds from the event will help pay for improvements to the downtown area such as flower pots and holiday decorations.
