Pill shopping leads to drug arrest in Lewis County

LEWIS CO., MO. -- Two Monroe City residents are in custody facing drug charges.

On Sunday, the Lewis County Sheriff's Department working with the Northeast Missouri Narcotics Task Force arrested Ruben Williams and Christina Cannella following a tip that the two were buying pseudoephedrine pills to allegedly make meth.

A cash only bond of $50,000 dollars has been set for each suspect.

Ruben Williams who is on parole from California, is also wanted in that state for burglary and theft charges.

More arrests in the case are possible.
