QUINCY, IL. -- Story by Jamie Busen with WTAD.

The Quincy Park Board will have a new home by 2013 if all goes as planned.

According to WTAD, the Board of Commissioners voted Wednesday night to accept the counter offer of $875,000 for the building and land known as the River's Edge Complex at 1231 Bonansinga Drive.

The Baywatch Café and the River's Edge Hall were located there.

One of the advantages to this new building is it will serve the park district's needs better.

It will also provide better access to services for the public, which has been a real challenge at the current location.

The 10 thousand square feet of property will be paid for through a general obligation bond.

One of the big selling points of this property is that it is located above the 500 year flood level.
