A motorcyclist and his passenger were taken to the hospital Sunday morning after striking a deer in the road.

ADAMS COUNTY, ILL. -- A motorcyclist and his passenger were taken to the hospital Sunday morning after striking a deer in the road.

Kevin Peschang, 58, of Milan, was traveling north on Il 96, about 1/4 mile south of County Road N. 300, north of Plainville, when a deer ran in front of his motorcycle.

Peschang received moderate injuries and was transported to Blessing Hospital by ambulance.

His passenger, Teresa Peschang, 57, of Milan was airlifted to Blessing with moderate injuries.
