Keokuk to expand its "Walk of Fame"

The first plaque is situated on the corner of 4th and Main Streets, honoring Chief Keokuk.

KEOKUK, IOWA -- Keokuk residents will soon be able to take a "Walk of Fame."

According to Tri-States Radio, multiple plaques will be placed in planters along Main Street to honor local celebrities.

The first plaque is situated on the corner of 4th and Main Streets, honoring Chief Keokuk.

The city expects to have 24 designated planters with a plaque situated in each by the end of the summer.

Plaques can be sold or sponsored for $750 each.
