TIMEWELL, ILL. -- A rural Timewell man has been convicted of involuntary manslaughter in the shooting death of his wife.

A Brown County jury returned a guilty verdict against 61-year-old David Dunn after deliberating for 5 1/2 hours.

Dunn was on trial for the November 2010 shooting death of his wife , 56-year-old Christine Dunn, at the couple's travel trailer in rural Timewell.

Originally, it was thought that Dunn and his wife were moving guns out of their house when she was shot and died.

An indictment alleged Dunn acted in a reckless manner by discharging the rifle.

He remains free on $150,000 bond pending his July sentencing.
