HANNIBAL, MO. -- A Hannibal, Missouri teenager will appear in the national spotlight later this month.

You'll remember last year we introduced you to 18-year-old Kori Caswell.

She received second place for her song and music video 'On the Road, You Can Make or Break Your Dreams' in a safe driving competition from Ford's 2011 'Belt It Out' contest.  Click here to read that story from her contest.

Later, she won first place for another song on the national level.

According to the Quincy Herald Whig, now the talented teenager has been tapped to sing the national anthem at the Congressional Baseball Game for Charity June 28 in Washington. That's a game that pits Republicans against Democrats to raise money for charity.

Caswell has been writing songs ever since she first picked up the guitar in fifth grade.
