Second candidate to be interview next week

QUINCY, ILL. -- The Quincy school board is still looking for an interim superintendent.

On Thursday night  the board interviewed a potential candidate but adjourned without naming a replacement for Bud Martin.

Martin took over the post after former Superintendent Lonny Lemon resigned.

KHQA confirmed with board member Bill Daniels that a second candidate will be interviewed at next Tuesday's meeting.

In related news, the Quincy Public School District wants to hear from you regarding the qualities and skills you would like to see in the new superintendent.

You are also invited share your thoughts at a meeting with the representatives of the search firm on Wednesday, September 12th at 7pm in the Quincy Senior High school cafeteria.
