MACOMB, ILL. -- The Macomb School District is seeking public input on it's search for a new school superintendent.

Current Superintendent Alene Reuschel will retire at the end of this school year.

And according the The McDonough County Voice, much like the Quincy school district, the Macomb school district is giving the community a chance to weigh in on the issue through an online survey.

For people who don't have computer access at home, the district has set up a computer at its offices at 321 W. Washington.

The survey is short but the information will be vital in helping the board as it looks for a replacement for Reuschel.

The school board is getting some help advertising the job  from the Illinois Association of School Boards.

A decision on a new superintendent is expected by February or March of next year.
