HANNIBAL, MO. -- A Hannibal teenager originally charged with holding a young girl against her will now faces additional charges.

Richard Trevor Hubbard, 18, is now charged with second-degree child molestation, sexual abuse and sexual assault, according to records from the Ralls County Clerk of Courts office.

Hubbard was charged in December 2011. The arrest stemmed from a July 7, 2011 report that Hubbard had sex with a 12-year-old girl. He was 17 at the time of his arrest.

Hubbard was scheduled to make his initial court appearance on the new charges Wednesday, but according to Hannibal Courier-Post's Dominic Genetti, a motion was filed by Hubbard's attorney, Rex Bradley, on behalf of his father, Terry Hubbard, requesting Bradley be withdrawn as counselor. Hubbard will be issued a public defender.

The preliminary hearing has been rescheduled for Wednesday, November 28 at 1:30 p.m.
