HANNIBAL, MO. -- Most people are accustomed to squeezing in a few more chairs at the table to share a Thanksgiving dinner with guests.

At the Hannibal Nutrition Center, cooks prepared 30 turkeys to feed an extra 300 people for the annual Thanksgiving meal.

It's the center's gift of thanks to all the seniors who support the meal program.

Rather than wait in a meal line, the diners were waited on by community celebrity waiters, including KHQA alum Sarah Deien.

Typically the Hannibal Nutrition Center serves 900 meals a day throughout the Hannibal area. Today, that number swelled to 1200 turkey dinners with all the trimmings.
