Change in law and new flavors credited for increase
IOWA (AP) -- A change in the Iowa state law is getting part of the credit for increase alcohol sales in the state.
Convenience stores in Iowa no longer have to put liquor in a separate part of the store.
Nor do they have to sell it at a separate register.
This change along with an increase in new flavors that appeal to younger people and women are credited for a 6.4 percent increase in hard liquor sales.
