Bath salts, heroin seized in NEMO drug raid

MARION COUNTY, MO. -- Two men are in jail after their arrest on numerous drug charges spread over two Northeast Missouri counties.

Ronald G. Parsons, age not known, is charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

Kelly L. Bruce is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and attempt to manufacture a controlled substance.

Ralls County Circuit Judge David Mobley set a $100,000 for both men.

Agents of the Northeast Missouri Drug Task Force and sheriffs' investigators from Ralls and Marion counties served warrants in Hannibal, New London and rural Ralls County.

Deputies and investigators served warrants the homes of Parsons and Bruce.

They also raided Parsons Restaurant at 1100 S. Main Street in New London. The restaurant is also a gas station and convenience store.

Investigators recovered stolen property, synthetic marijuana, heroin, methamphetamine lab materials, marijuana, meth and over 2,000 containers of bath salts, according to a press release from the task force.

The drugs have a street value of over $43,000.
