QUINCY, ILL. -- It appears as if another Tri-State family has been torn apart by the escalating meth problem in the Tri-States.

A child has been removed from a Quincy home, after police busted a meth lab on Quincy's South side.

Officers arrested 39-year-old Kristie L. Gower after they discovered drugs and a shake and bake meth lab at 640 Monroe late last night.

Gower now faces charges of making meth and meth-related child endangerment.

A 12-year-old child was removed from the home and has since been placed with a family member during an investigation by the Department of Children and Family Services.

Gower is in the Adams County Jail.
